FOUNDATION COURSE AT FLOW
MAT COURSE AT FLOW
GRADUATE COURSE AT FLOW
The complete BASI Comprehensive Training Program consists of four intensive weekend workshops. The first two weekends make up the Foundation Training Course, and the second two weekends make up the Graduate Training Course. (Students must register separately for the Foundation and Graduate Training Courses.)
Some students may choose to take only the Foundation Training, which covers essential Pilates equipment and mat exercises. However, students interested in becoming professional Pilates instructors should complete both the Foundation and Graduate Training Programs for a complete understanding of the BASI Pilates system. Then, they are eligible to become certified Pilates instructors.
The BASI Mat Work Training Program consists of two intensive weekend workshops. Students who complete the Mat Work Training will be eligible to become certified Pilates mat work instructors.
The BASI Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Course (CTTC) and the BASI Matwork Teacher Training Course (MTTC) were founded in 1989 by Rael Isacowitz. BASI Pilates® is recognized internationally for setting the highest standards in Pilates education, offering a truly comprehensive program which covers classic repertoire on all Pilates equipment and mat, as well as contemporary insight into the work.
Cindy Reid is a senior faculty member for the BASI organization and has taught the course in Chicago for 12 years. In 2012, she was recognized with BASI’s first Outstanding Host and Training Facility Award. She has developed numerous mentoring programs for BASI trainees at Flow. Along with the Flow team of instructors, she ensures that the trainees have an optimal educational experience which has consistently resulted in them acquiring positions at studios and health clubs all over Chicago and beyond.
Cindy encourages all prospective trainees to visit Flow and work with her personally to best prepare for the course.
