BASI® Pilates Teacher Training is not for people who are satisfied with being ordinary.  Nor is it for those who want things to be easy.

Body Arts and Science International (BASI Pilates®) Training Programs

CTTC

Flow offers the BASI Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Course (CTTC) and the BASI Matwork Teacher Training Course (MTTC) founded in 1989 by Rael Isacowitz . BASI® is recognized internationally for setting the highest standards in pilates education, offering a truly comprehensive program which covers classic repertoire on all pilates equipment and mat, as well as contemporary insight into the work. Cindy Reid teaches the course at Flow twice a year, beginning each Spring and Fall, and is a Senior Faculty for BASI. The CTTC consists of four intensive 3-day training weekends (Fridays and Saturdays 11am-6pm and Sundays 10am-5pm) with 4-8 weeks between weekends. The 12 weekend modules include lectures and well as practical experience on the apparatus. Between the modules, students pursue personal study, personal practice hours, observation, and practice teaching hours, totaling up to 500 hours. The following are requirements of the CTTC program:

MTTC

Students in the Matwork Teacher Training Course will be required to attend half days during the first two intensive weekends of the CTTC (Fridays and Saturdays 11am-2:30pm, Sundays 10am-1:30pm). The BASI Pilates Matwork Teacher Training Course consists of the following elements:
