Cindy Reid is the founder and director of Flow Studio, opened in 2002. Introduced to Pilates in 1993 while dancing professionally, she has been teaching Pilates for 20 years and dance and exercise for 25. Cindy completed several Pilates training courses before finding BASI PIlates(TM). She is now a Senior Faculty member for the BASI Pilates™ Training Program, and iteaches two Comprehensive Teacher Training Courses per year at her studio. Cindy is also certified by the Pilates Method Alliance and presents workshops at Flow on injury prevention and biomechanics. She teaches regular classes at Flow in Pilates repertoire and concepts for reformer, chair, mat, standing strength and dance, and instructs privately students of all ages and abilities. In her years of teaching, Cindy has consistently observed the power of Pilates to heal, re-balance and revitalize one's body and spirit and is committed to bringing clients those positive results. She has an MA from Northwestern University in Performance and Choreography and also has extensive training in functional anatomy and biomechanics, yoga and group fitness. In both group and private instruction, Ms. Reid encourages transferring the detailed work of Pilates into functional fitness for life. (Tier 3 Instructor) |

Jeremy D. Brown began studying pilates ten years ago with an interest in rehabilitating his personal injuries. While working to overcome a number of serious injuries and trauma he gained a compassionate view of the process of returning to health and humbling insight into the body’s ability to heal. Jeremy also brings an extensive background in teaching movement with experience training adults in jazz and modern dance, ballroom dance, yoga and Tae Kwon Do. In 2007 he completed his pilates training with Body Arts and Science International and has continued his education with courses in structural anatomy; hip, shoulder and knee biomechanics; scoliosis; protocols for spinal conditions; postural and kinetic chain assessment techniques; athletic enhancement for athletes and dancers; and maximizing flexibility. Jeremy embraces training people of all ages and ability and has enjoyed most in pilates the accessibility and applicability to everyone, whether they are in need of basic movement foundations for daily life or are searching for an edge to make them a more outstanding athlete. Last year Jeremy completed all three levels of training for the new CoreAlign™ equipment and recently traveled to Brazil to complete his apprenticeship in Balanced Body’s Core-Align™ Master Teacher program. Leah Ousley completed her Pilates teacher training through the Body Arts and Science International program. Leah began her pilates practice after recovering from an invasive surgery to resect a brain tumor that left her with severe balance, instability, and coordination issues. She was so inspired with the positive results of her regular private Pilates lessons that she left her successful career in sales to teach Pilates full time. She finds it extremely rewarding and her goal is to provide every client with an optimal workout tailored to meet their fitness goals, while teaching them how to move more efficiently. Leah has additional background and experience participating in gymnastis, running, weight training, and yoga and earned her BS from Auburn University. She is currently studying CoreAlign so she can share its benefits with her clients at Flow. (Tier 2 Instructor) |

Natalie Rothgeb came to Chicago in 2004 after graduating from Indiana University with a B.A. in English and many hours logged in the Ballet Department’s studios. She is a classically trained dancer, and when she suffered a series of spinal injuries while dancing professionally over ten years ago, it was pilates she utilized for rehabilitation. After regular pilates practice restored her strength and enhanced her physical awareness, she pursued and completed the BASI Pilates™ teacher training in 2008. In addition to prior coursework in physics and anatomy, she regularly attends continuing education programs focusing on pilates for dancers, biomechanics, injury prevention & rehabilitation. Natalie is currently on faculty at the Joffrey Ballet and recently spent several years working with the professional division students and company members at Ballet Chicago. She utilizes her years of teaching dance, ballet training, and time spent in injury rehabilitation to improve her pilates students’ physical and mental well-being. (Tier 2 Instructor) |

Selena Roque is a Body Arts and Science International Comprehensive Pilates Program graduate and instructor with a specialization in Dance Conditioning. Selena first began practicing Pilates at the age of thirteen while studying at the San Francisco Ballet School. She continued to study Pilates throughout her dance training and in 2007 studied and completed her BASI training under Karen Clippinger, M.S.P.E. Professor. In addition to her BASI Pilates certificate, Selena also holds a BA in Dance with an option in Dance Science from California State University, Long Beach. There she pursued dance performance and courses in human anatomy, nutrition, human/exercise physiology, prevention and care of injuries, motor control and learning, and biomechanics. Besides instructing Pilates, Selena now dances professionally in the Chicago area. She has a passion for instructing and enjoys incorporating some dance conditioning and strengthening concepts in her teaching style. Selena focuses her classes on strength building and also utilizes her dance background to teach coordination and emphasize proper muscle mechanics. (Tier 2 Instructor) |

Jessie Young hails from the renowned rain-clouds of the Pacific Northwest, where she took to yoga as an extension of her dance training. While receiving her BFA in Modern Dance at the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT) she had the privilege of evolving her practice under the guidance of D'ana Baptiste at Centered City Yoga, where in 2007 she received her 500-hour certification. She has taught in Utah, Washington and now teaches in a few yoga studios in Chicago, and leads yoga classes in the Butterfly Haven of Chicago's Nature Museum! In 2011 Jessie completed the BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Course. Jessie shares her natural enthusiasm for movement and attention to form in her Pilates and yoga sessions. Students can expect a thorough, yet light-hearted approach to their practice, with a focus on building a sense of positive community, and empowering individuals with a heightened sense of well-being. |
